ABOUT FIFTY PLUS CENTRE
Fifty Plus center is a registered NPO, SARS and BBEE organization that do not receive any government help.
When Fifty Plus originally opened their doors Seven years ago it was to help unprivileged pensioners/elderly. On 25 August 2008 the center received a new Chairperson Eerica Van Dyk, at that time we started extending our hand in helping the underprivileged in many ways. (PROGRESS)
We support families that’s down on their luck at the moment with CHILDREN, because we believe that children are the future of South Africa and that is the reason why we are getting involve with councilors across South Africa so that we can help in all the areas where help is needed.
We support over 200 families, more than 6 safety houses for women and children, 9 orphanages, 7 old age homes, a crèche where children can have a chance at early development while their parents can do their work in peace (some of which we provide) knowing that their children are well looked after and do not need to worry about school accounts. We recently received 3 more early development centers to provide with food, clothing, furniture, electricity and what ever they may need. We also jointly opened 2 soup kitchens in the last year. The soup kitchens help those families that we can’t provide for on a monthly basis as poverty is increasing on a daily basis.
We would love to do more greatness in the years to come but we won’t be able to accomplish our dreams and goals to make South Africa a better place without the help of our fellow citizens!!
